Norlin and Luca Pacioli

 

The Section Historian (Norlin G. Rueschhoff) has compiled, and continues to compile, details of the Section's history. In due course these materials will be added directly to this site, however, in the meantime the Section history site can be accessed directly here:

[Image - Professor Norlin Rueschhoff of the University of Notre Dame is the AAA International Accounting Section historian. The picture of him on the right was taken at the town hall of Sansapolcro, Italy, the birthplace of Luca Pacioli, who wrote the first treatise on double-entry accounting in 1494. The plaque on the wall commemorates Pacioli, a friend and consultant to Leonard da Vinci.  ]
